[EXPIRED] Another Double-Your-Money (Or More!)
With PC World/Currys banging out 97p games and £4.97 titles quicker than you can say “Profit Margin”
It was only a matter of time before others joined in!
Step up to the plate “Dixons”.
There was a MASSIVE games clearout last week (sorry peeps – I was on a Days Annual LoopHoling Leave and missed it – trust me – I’m as gutted as you are!)
But for some reason – there stocks of 1 game have been massively replenished?!
They now have what seems to be unnumbered stock of “Super Monkeyball 3DS” available at a pocket lightening £4.97.

With a cash value of £7 – and a trade of £10 – you can either pick up 9x copies (5x for the less fortunate stores) and make some cash money profit (£18 for 9x and £10 cash for the 5x).

Not bad for nothing.
Also, dont forget 1.5% CashBack on your purchase too!

Note: This is by no means a guarantee – but by looking at recent price drops/plummets, Super Monkeyball 3DS is currently at 70 stock count – and *LOTS* on the shelves of the stores – so judging by their usual pricing patterns, I would say this has a good chance of holding a good price. If it does drop – it will be the cash that will be affected, as I cant see trade dropping below £8. That’s if it does drop… So, looks like a deal with some holding potential.
However, personally, with pretty much all Gamestations in a 40 mile radius hurting from my abundant trading for Mission Vita – I have opted for unloading 8 copies at CEX for a £80 credit note to use on BluRays/Older/Classic gaming titles.
The 2 rogue leftovers I have PriceMatched for £22 at GameStation (they cant complain about 2 – however, if I tried to do 2 a day for 5 days – I feel I might have pushed my luck!)
So all in all – not a bad haul.
10x Super Monkeyball @£4.97 = £49.70
1x £80 Credit @CEX
1x £22 Credit @Gamestation
1x 75p CashBack
= £102.75
107% Profit.

Thanks for this.
How did mission Vita go? Have you picked up all of your Vita’s yet? :p
Also, by the way, just another question I have been wanting to ask. This might sound stupid, but thought it would be worth a shot.
I’ve heard recently that people have been able to price match a trade-in on their 3DS’s with HMV. HMV are offering £100 for the 3DS + £10 if you trade-in against a Vita. People have managed to get them to price match Gamestation and make them offer £132 against the Vita? This might be useful for some people as HMV’s current offer on the Vita is significantly better than Gamestations. Gamestation are charging £230 for their stand alone wifi Vita, but HMV are doing a bundle of the Vita + Uncharted 3 or Fifa for the same price.
The question is (this is probably really stupid), can you get HMV to price match a price match with Gamestation. Ie, if a game is being bought for £10 cash at CEX, can you get HMV to price match Gamestations £11 price match of that game?
Hi Pete,
I’ve not only heard the same rumour – but I have investigated it also.
The short and curlies of it – No.
It was *VERY* store specific at the time – and HMV have no PriceMatch policy in place from head office. So my guess would be that the ones that did do it – were perhaps struggling on preorders/sales.
But I rang 4 HMVs in my area when I heard the rumour and they all said no.
Strangely enough – the best deal I’ve seen going was Game. Even stranger that they are doing better deals that GameStation – there sister OWNED company. Weird.
But alas – I was successful and have already moved all my surplus stock on for a hefty profit (even converting GS Credit into +12% Cash)
Post to arrive on LoopHoler.com shortly!
EpicLol.
70 in stock when I posted – and now 143!
Price dropped to £6 cash £8 exchange.
Still a profit though.
£9 PM to do the Vita switch-a-room sounds a win now… May look at my left over credit and do some math
Just bought a Vita from Amazon to get rid of all of my CEX vouchers.
Can’t wait to see people’s faces at CEX when I sell them a Vita, but then buy it straight off them again.
By the way Loopy. If you want a few games to try out on your Vita, Zavvi are doing some cheap deals.
They’re selling F1 2011 for £20, CEX offer £22 cash for it. Granted, it’s not a loophole, but you can try the game out and sell it on for a £2 profit if you don’t want to keep it.
Although not as “attractive”, you can do the same with Army Corps of Hell, buy at £15, sell for £18 once you’ve tried it.
Not really worth buying to sell on, as you can get the same £3 profit on much cheaper items.
I bought 120 copies. printed of the cex price when at £10, got my local GAME to price match 30 copies. then only managed to get gamestaion to price match two!!! Got cex to give credit when it dropped to £8 trade and got rid of 18 copies and gave 7 to friends and family!!! Left over 63 went to another branch of Game and spoke with manager who took all of them at £7 plus 25% EXTRA. i had £554 credit. spent couple of hours buying ps3 from asda at £197 traded them in at game for £210 cash. only two per
120 copies? Where did you get them from?
I tried getting another 20 shortly after my last haul from the website and it said it didn’t have enough in stock?
I’m amazed that your local Game would A) PriceMatch and B) take multiple copies off you. They have the same internal policy as GameStation (maximum of 3 games per trade).
I wont ask you to name your local – as I wouldn’t want others stealing your ‘turf’ but if true, you have the rarest of all ‘Game’ stores in the whole of England.
Yes – GameStation will only take 2 (rare diamonds in the rough will take 3). CEX will take either 5 or 9 – I’ve heard of no variations other than these.
I’ve managed to shift multiples of 9 on a day by using friends accounts (they have to be present) etc – but truly – gobsmacked that you’ve managed to shift (and buy) that many.
But – they have been absolutely smashed by this – 70 copies in stock when we posted – now boasting 230+
Must find my next treat… I think I only have enough credit left for Unit 12, Max Payne 3 (May – eugh!) and Mass Effect 3 (which I’ve booked the day off to play).
Burnt all my remaining CEX credit on a MASSIVE online order. New Release BluRays (x4) a load of classic DVDs (that were all £1ish and as I’m paying thr £2.50 postage – I don’t mind buying) as well as some tasty box sets.
Its been a good month – I’m not going to lie.
And I’m burning through all that cash made on Operation Vita too…. But must save some… There’s an Car MOT due soon – eek!
i bought the games in batchs of 5, used quidco too. they where all ordered 20/2/12-23/2/12, each stores policy varies. i live in a location where there are 6 cex, 10 game and 8 gamestation in a 10 mile radius. some stores told me that they only would take 1, 2, 3 or as many as i got, feel a bit stupid now as i should of ordered more!!! ps if you trade in more than £200 at game you have to spend the money there and then as there computer systems don’t like loading gift cards over £200!!!! only found this website a few days ago, but i’ve been playing this type of game for about 4 months and have made a few £1000′s!!!!!
Wow – it took a while to tumble – but we’re now looking at £3/£4 from CEX.
Selling for £10… Which makes me feel bad – that I unloaded 18 copies at £10
i have £144 cex voucher to spend, but i refuse to buy used items, do cex stock new items instore or online?
